March Mystery Italian
In his entire career, Frank Sinatra only recorded one song of him singing in Italian. In 1950, he recorded Torna a` Sorriento. People loved the song, but he never did another. You see Frank, although he grew up with an Italian mamma, never really learned to speak Italian.
On the other side of the equation, Dean Martin didn’t start speaking English until he was six. Dino learned to speak in several dialects and “high” Italian. Dino recorded songs in Napolitano, Calabrese and Sicilian.
